SHARED SERVICES

The Beaver County Regional Council of Governments fulfills its mission of assisting local governments in Beaver County to govern wisely by assisting in the sharing of costs and services. The BCRCOG offers the following as shared services:

JOINT COMMODITIES BIDDING

Through the BCRCOG, member municipalities are able to purchase commodities together to get the bulk rate discount for their essential needs. Bidding occurs for the Spring and Winter and municipalities are also able to purchase through the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit.

GIS MAPPING

Through a grant from the Department of Community and Economic Development, the BCRCOG has the opportunity to pursue GIS mapping for the County to encourage economic development, multi-municipal planning and marketing and promotion for the County.

OTHER SERVICES

Arrangements may be made for Shared Service studies/analyses, such as Regional Police Services and Merged Fire Service, multi-municipal planning, MS4 Compliance, and  grant writing.  Contact us for more information.

UCC APPEALS BOARD

Our multi-municipal Appeals Board offers a relief process for applicants as provided by the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code Act.  Applicant property must be located in a participating COG municipality. Hearing dates are available monthly, on the third Monday of the month, at 7:00 PM at Monaca Borough Building.   The hearing fee is $750.00, which includes a court stenographer to produce an official transcript.  Our hearing board is made up of architects, engineers, builders and other construction specialists.

 

Request the application via email at bcrcog@gmail.com. Application/fee must be received at least 10 days before desired hearing date.  The Board has up to 60 days to hear an appeal after the application is received.
